Canfield Fairgrounds Rooster Project
"Under the Feathers"
The "Flock to the Fairgrounds" project was a sponsored community project. 20 artists were selected to design and paint a 4ft tall rooster and a 2ft tall base. The completed project stood around 6 feet tall.
Under the Feathers was my anatomical rooster design that was chosen for one of the roosters. I pained the fiberglass surface with Liquitex Heavy Body Acrylic paints and I sealed the final piece with a glossy UV protected coat. The piece aimed to show the community that anatomy can be beautiful.
The project was viewed in public until the 175th Canfield Fair, where it was united with the other 19 roosters for a group viewing!
